                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  The Revolutionary United Front (RUF), with support from Charles Taylor’s National Patriotic Front of Liberia (NPFL) special forces attempt to overthrow the Joseph Momoh government.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  Scenario starts on 23 March 1991 and tentatively ends on 1 September 1991.  There is not natural break point, however, in September a new constitution that provided for multiparty participation was adopted, however, it didn't achieve much. The RUF were quite a small but due to government issues they were not checked and managed to take control of most of the Southern and Eastern regions. It’s really not clear what areas or places they took and so it’s a general free for all, however, they start at the Liberian border and work inland.
